David Beckham and the LA Galaxy Get Honored at the White House

The White House welcomed the LA Galaxy soccer club for a special event in Washington DC this afternoon. David Beckham was among his teammates as they were honored by President Obama and First Lady Michelle for their successful 2011 season and MLS Cup win. Landon Donovan presented the president with a custom jersey after Obama spoke a few words. Obama joked of David, "It is a rare man who can be that tough on the field and also have his own line of underwear." Later, the players participated in a question and answer section for Michelle's "Let's Move" campaign. David is in the nation's capital with the rest of the team after they traveled to Canada last week for a Saturday match against the Montreal Impact that resulted in a tie.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Rent "Palatial" Home in England

While the betrothed actors didn't buy the Whornes Place estate in London, it turns out the über-famous couple is temporarily residing in another "palatial" home in the area.

And it looks like they're settling in.

Despite reports Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie forked over $16 million to reside in the Whornes Palace in the West London town of Richmond, E! News has learned exclusively the charitable pair is renting a huge mansion in one of the most "exclusive areas" in the United Kingdom.

Taylor Lautner to Star in Parkour-Based Tracers

Lautner will be seen at the Cannes Film Festival this week in Tracers, a Parkour-based film that finds the actor starring as a bike messenger named Cam.

The character gets involved in an organized crime ring, along with Parkour, which is described by Wikipedia as "a physical discipline which focuses on efficient movement around obstacles."

In early April, she received a kidney transplant from her father, actor Edward James Hyland. "I have a second chance at life, not a lot of people get that," she tells the mag in her first interview about the transplant.
