Whenever you see photos of Jennifer Lopez with her 4-year-old twins, Max and Emme — whether they're playing on the beach or visiting the Easter bunny — they appear to be the picture of happiness. But the "American Idol" judge says it wasn't always perfect. Right after she gave birth, she suffered from a serious case of baby blues, making it hard for her to bond with her little ones.
"I remember after the babies were born, about seven to 10 days in, I was like, 'What is going on with me?'" Lopez, 42, says in the June issue of Redbook. "I felt sad and depressed and thought the babies didn't love me."
Lopez, who had her twins with her soon-to-be ex-husband Marc Anthony, says she actually turned to the book in which her latest movie is based upon — What to Expect When You're Expecting written by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel — in order to better understand her feelings. more
